There is the option for customers to purchase their own router to use with their freedom FIBER service. Tech support will be required to make this transition to this router. Information on the Affordable Connectivity Program:
Tombigbee Communications is a proud participant in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) started by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households. Read more about the benefit here.
As of January 2024, the FCC has announced the ACP program will run out of funding at the end of April 2024. No new applications will be accepted after February 7, 2024.
