Tombigbee Communications held two free educational seminars on August 27 (in Winfield at Pastime Civic Center) and August 28 (in Hamilton at Tombigbee headquarters). The purpose of these seminars was to provide our freedom FIBER customers with more information on how to “cut the cord’ and stream live television. During the presentation, attendees were given a brief overview of streaming and the different services available from various providers. After the presentation and a question and answer session, the attendees were encouraged to break out into groups and visit one of the three televisions streaming on freedom FIBER’s blazing fast speeds around the room. Each TV was streaming off a different device (Roku, Apple TV or Fire TV) in ultra-high definition and 4K resolution. Those attending had the opportunity to ask questions and get one-on-one help on this particular subject.
